Roman Blinds in Harborne
£3993 Roman blinds fitted
Each blind up to 1 metre wide × 1 metre drop.
Roman blinds bring tailoring to a window. Fabric is drawn up into precise, horizontal folds and rests within the frame, offering the comfort of a curtain with none of the excess. In a Harborne drawing room or bedroom, a well-made Roman is often the finishing note that resolves the whole space.
Roman Blinds in Harborne homes
Period homes in B17 and Edgbaston, with their tall sashes and deep reveals, accommodate a Roman particularly well. A flat, classic fold suits rooms with strong architectural lines; a softer cascade suits a bedroom. Thermal and blackout linings give warmth and darkness where needed. Contrast edging and pattern-matching across adjacent windows lend coherence to a run of bays.
Three Roman blinds, fitted, for £399 is our fabric offer. Every blind is made to measure up to 1 metre wide × 1 metre drop, with the included fabrics explained at your consultation and larger blinds quoted separately. It is not used alongside BN-14. Samples are presented in your rooms, so colour and weave can be judged against your own furnishings.
Romans are made to order, so lead times are longer than for rollers, and accurate measuring determines how evenly the folds finish. We assess recess depth for the raised stack; where it is insufficient, the blind is mounted above the reveal to clear the glass. Child-safety fittings are standard, and most fabrics are spot-clean only.
Linings are specified to suit the room: a standard lining gives body, a thermal interlining adds warmth and weight, and blackout ensures darkness. Hand-finished edges and pattern centring are available on request.
Where several Romans share a wall, fold heights are aligned so the windows read as a composed set.

Enquiries
May I specify a blackout Roman?
Yes, with a blackout lining. Some light may show at the margins, so for nurseries a blackout roller is occasionally added behind.
Is a Roman sensible in a kitchen?
Away from the hob it works well. Above a sink, a fabric that tolerates moisture is advisable.
How are the folds finished?
A flat, classic fold suits rooms with strong architectural lines; a softer cascade suits bedrooms. Pattern centring is available on request.
